Public Health & Behaviour Change
Promoting the health and well-being of pregnant women and their young children is critical to ensuring that children develop to their full potential and grow into healthy, resilient, and socially-minded adults. Not only do the children benefit, but so does society at large. The cross-disciplinary work of the CCCN is framed within a public health perspective. While our child neurodevelopment experts coach individual government officials, teachers, parents, guardians, and community stakeholders, the ultimate goal is to impact the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour of the public at large. To achieve this goal, the CCCN implements public awareness campaigns, assesses the impact of those campaigns, and works with government and non-governmental organizations to examine and change public health policies, frameworks, and behaviours.
